The purpose of the class is to teach students one of the most spoken languages in the world, Spanish. Through the study of this language they will explore and gain understanding of the Spanish speaking countries. Furthermore, they will be able to contrast, identify differences as well as similarities between the American and Hispanic cultures.
Over the course of this year, all students will develop and improve the skills of speaking, writing, listening, reading and understanding Spanish. At the end of this year they will all be knowledgeable regarding vocabulary, grammar constructions and culture. Students will also have the background information needed to embark on the following level of Spanish. Improvements and goals will be achieved with patience, persistence, enthusiasm and hard work throughout the year

The purpose to learn Spanish is to be able to communicate with millions of Spanish-speaking people around the world. At the end of the school year you will be able to have a conversation in Spanish .
